1988 God said: “Teach Spanish speaking
people Faith”. After graduating from Rhema
Bible Training center In 1991 Judy and I
founded Open Door Missions God gave us
the name from Revelation 3:8 “Behold I
show you an open door that no man can
shut” In January 1994 after two years of
weekly trips to Nogales

on us and sent us out.

Nogales Mexico - with a team
from The Living Word Bible
Church - 50 Salvations  
Reaching the kids - in the first
2 years the team traveled to
Nogales every Saturday
resulting in practically all the
children en this neighbourhood
accepting Jesus in their hearts

(After the first 4 years the
gangs in our neighbourhood
disbanded for a lack of new
recruits)  God is great!
Over the next 12 years Open
Door Missions has sponsored a
multitude of crusades resulting
in thousand of people making
decisions for Christ.

Crusades.

Open Door Missions began as an outreach of The Living Word
Bible Church in January 1992 with weekly trips to Nogales,
Mexico teaching adult Bible studies, children’s classes and
evangelistic crusades.  These weekly trips continued until
January 1994 when the Lord directed us to move to Nogales,
Mexico to enable us to broaden our ministry and to learn the
language and culture of Mexico.  The vision of Open Door
Missions is to teach Spanish speaking people faith.  Over the
past nine years of ministry we have taught countless Bible
studies, we taught children and youth classes for four years as
we learned the language and we have had many, many
crusades resulting in thousands of salvations.  We are
currently in the process of pioneering our third church; this
newest church, La Palabra de Victoria (The Word of Victory), is
located in Nogales, Mexico downtown. The vision of the church
is to teach and train the people for ministry and send them out
to teach and train others.  Mexico is a country steeped in
tradition and religion, our desire is to help them come out of
that and come into a relationship with God.  

Since our vision is to teach Spanish speaking people faith, we
are in the process of writing Spanish faith books.  We write and
publish these books ourselves.  While there is an abundance
of good faith books in English, these are greatly lacking in
Spanish so we were very excited when the Lord put in on our
hearts to begin writing and distributing these books.  We also
travel and minister throughout Mexico teaching and holding
Holy Ghost meetings.  We have experienced mighty moves of
God as the Holy Spirit ministered and touched the people.   
Everything we do is focused on teaching and preaching faith.
We are very excited about what the Lord is doing here in
Mexico and we feel as though we have just begun!
