God is so good! Many people are coming to the Lord here in Nogales Mexico, we are seeing a revival in our
church – God is on the move! If you watch the news or read the newspaper the world is getting worse by the
day but the glory and power of God is getting greater and greater! We felt a change of gears this year in the
Spirit, God is pouring out His power in an even mightier way!
Many of you have called us regarding the mafia war going on here in Nogales so just to let you know, the war is
between the different mafias. Yes the police have found bodies, yes there have been some shootouts with the
police but the mafia is only concerned with taking the control from the other mafia cartel. We have the grace of
God; we have the protection of the Lord! When Judy and I first moved to Mexico (15 years ago) our
neighborhood, Buenos Aires, was a famous drug and gang area. The first 2 years we lived here there were 18
deaths but the moment we moved into the neighborhood God moved into the neighborhood! Greater is He that
lives in us than he that lives in the world! We stood in faith, we prayed and God moved! Now our neighborhood
is calm and peaceful. Our church is praying for Nogales and God is moving!
One of the new people we have in our church is an (ex) assassin for the mafia! He came to church and gave
His life to the Lord. The first thing He wanted to know is if God could forgive him for all the bad he had done we
assured Him that the love of God for him was so great that He sent Jesus to die for those sins. Praise God that
young man keeps coming back to church!
Our annual Women of Victory conference was awesome! Each year is better than the last and each year we see
more and more women attending the conference! This year Cristina Priest from Faith Family Church ministered
on the Holy Spirit and many women received the baptism of the Holy Spirit! It is so wonderful and so necessary
in these times to see women filled with the power of God! Pastor Angelica from Navojoa Mexico ministered the
word of God to our ladies; we believe hearts were touched and lives changed!
We are reaching the youth of Nogales, Mexico! At our youth conference there were almost 100 youth! Many
received the Lord; the seed of the Word of God was planted in them and they will never be the same! It was an
awesome conference. Pastor Don Priest from Faith Family Church came to minister; the word was great and the
Holy Spirit moved in a mighty way.
The youth also had their annual camp out: a time of fun, swimming and bible studies. There is a move of the
Holy Spirit on the youth of Nogales and He keeps bringing them into the youth services where they are loved and
ministered to.
All of us here at La Palabra de Victoria want to thank Penny Carlson for all of her work to bring down backpacks
for the children of our church. Every year she not only brings backpacks but they are filled with school supplies!
This is a great blessing for each family; many struggle to provide these essential items for their children on top of
buying uniforms and special school supplies required by the school. Because some can not afford all of the
expense of sending their child to school many stop attending school. Thank you Penny! Also, Penny and her
team from Living Word Bible Church held our annual Harvest Fest this October and we had at least 300 people
attend! Everyone loved it! There were games galore and so many prizes that each person was
